Email

In most email programs you go  Tools ---- Accounts ---- Mail   to create or modify email accounts

Here are the settings that most people need when making adjustments to their email accounts, or when creating new ones:

Incoming --  mail.frankton.org

Outgoing -- mail.bdfbroadband.aramiska.net

Make sure your username is something like *****@frankton.org   If you miss out the frankton.org bit, it will not work.

Don’t be tempted to put a tick in the SSL box, or fill in details for Secure Authentication, as that will not work either

Webmail

If for some reason your email program is not working, you can always read and reply to your email by using Webmail http://webmail.frankton.org. Simply enter your user name and password and use the simple interface.

Webmail is also handy when you are away from home and you want to check your email accounts, say in an internet cafe, a friend’s house or whilst working away.

If you want to send email from your laptop when away using your email program, then you would have to ask someone the name of the outgoing server and change the appropriate setting as described above. Of course, you have to change it back again when you return.
